IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: York Prep Operates on Virtual Day on Thursday, 8/08/24
Due to safety concerns with flash flooding and potential high winds, York Prep will have a virtual day today, 8/08/2024. Students and families should be on the lookout for instructions from their teachers on Schoology and email. Should you have issues accessing or not have power, your student will receive their work when they return to school tomorrow.
On Thursday, York Prep 6th graders headed to Camp Leopold for an overnight field trip and had an amazing time! The students participated in team challenges building trust, communication and teamwork. They hiked the forest learning more about wildlife, insects, and nocturnal animal activity. They explored seasons investigating environmental changes and their impact to South Carolina waterfowl. And they got up close and personal with reptiles and amphibians learning about these creatures and their ecosystems. What an amazing experience for our students bringing them closer to nature and each other!
