Mad City Money is an outstanding program offered by Founders Federal Credit Union that provides students with a "game of life" experience! High school students in our Personal Finance and Workplace Communication classes received a fictional life profile that included details such as occupation, salary, debt, and family relationships and had to create a budget using this information. What an awesome hands-on experience for our students preparing them with "the knowledge, skills, character, and determination necessary to excel in their chosen post-secondary pursuits and in life." Students from York Prep High School visited Winthrop University yesterday for Teacher Cadet Day. The Teacher Cadet program is a dual enrollment college course available on campus that enables students to explore the teaching profession and gain valuable classroom experience. Over the years, we have been proud to see our Teacher Cadet students choose careers in education, with some returning to teach at York Prep!

Last weekend, the High School Academic Team competed against 22 other teams at Aiken High School, achieving 7th place! Senior Madilyn Price ranked in the top 10 among 100 students in the individual competition. Huge congratulations to these students and the advisors!
