York Preparatory Academy is governed by a Board of Trustees. The 2022 Board Election will be Tuesday, May 24, 2022 utilizing our electronic voting program. The Board is made up of 7 members, 4 of whom are elected, and 3 of whom are appointed by the standing board. The board members serve staggered terms and a set number of seats are up for election. In the 2022 Board Election, two members will be elected and two members will be appointed.
Voting Information: All employees of the school and the primary parent/ guardian of each student will be eligible to vote in the Board election. Each employee will have one vote. The primary parent or guardian will have one vote for each student enrolled. Each eligible voter will receive an email with a link to a secure ballot. Voters may select up to two candidates on the ballot. Your selections will be multiplied based on the number of ballots you are eligible to receive.
All reports of irregularities, fraud, or concerns regarding an election will be made in writing to the Election Committee within 48 hours of the close of the election, and any concerns not properly presented to the committee will be waived. The Election Committee will not announce the results of an election until all appropriately presented concerns have been satisfied within the sound discretion of the committee.
