York Preparatory Academy is applying for the Emergency Connectivity Fund. This federal program provides funding to schools to purchase Chromebooks and internet access for students or staff who lack connected devices and/or internet access.
Who qualifies for this program?
According to the Federal Communications Commission, to qualify for the program, a family must be, "a student or school staff who would otherwise lack access to connected devices or internet services." Families that currently have internet access or have had internet access in the last 6 months do not qualify.
How do I apply for this program?
To apply, please complete the following FORM by Monday, July 12, 2021.
Please note: Completion of this form does not guarantee receipt of a Chromebook or internet access. This will be determined by funds received. Families who do not respond to the form will not receive a Chromebook or internet access. Families that reside in rural areas may experience poor or spotty service.
